Maybelline Colordrama - Intense velvet lip pencil

I had my eye on these for a while now, because I think they could be a good dupe for the NARS lip pencils. I don't know what it is about lipproducts, but they always draw my attention.

I picked up 3 colors from the range. A classic red (Red Sensational), a berry toned one (Berry Much) and a daring orange (Fab Orange). These are the three colors I feel are all I'm ever gonna need. No nudes, I know. But if you know me even just a little than you'll know that I'm not the biggest fan of them. I'm a sucker for bright lips. If you take a quick look at my Mac lipstick collection you'll notice this straight away.

M.A.C. Lipstick collection

New York Apple - Frost
One of the very first colors I bought from MAC. It is a frost which I'm not too big a fan of, but NYA isn't so much of a 'in your face'-frost. I personally like to wear this color more in the colder months.

Syrup - Lustre
This is the first nude I bought from MAC. I will never be the biggest fan of nudes. I don't see the point in spending money on a lipstick when you can hardly see it on your lips, but I felt like I needed at least one in my collection. Syrup was the lucky one. And it turns out I'm the lucky one too, because I've started to love this color on me. It's a light pink with subtle blue and purple undertones to it.

Fanfare - Cremesheen
The next 'nude' I bought from MAC. Or at least I thought it would be a nude, but on me it looks more like a coral pink. I go through phases with this one. I think this looks good on me in the summer when I have a bit of a tan, but when I'm at my lightest it just doesn't mesh well with my skin tone.

Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara

When I saw this mascara I knew I had to have it. Look at it.. It's gorgeous!! Although, I may be biased. Pink is my favorite color after all.
I've been trying it out for a good two months so I feel confident that I can give you a complete review.

When I applied it for the first time I was completely blown away by it's amazingness. It lenghtens, seperates and volumizes my lashes with just one layer. The above picture shows the before and after and that's with just one coat of this mascara.

Bright lips on a rainy day..

Earlier today I posted this picture on Instagram and Facebook. Since a lot of you seemed to like it, I thought it would be a good idea to share what products I used to achieve this look.

It's a really quick and easy look actually. I was late for a meeting, but I didn't want to leave my house with a bare face, so I very quickly threw this make-up on.

As a base I used the L'Oréal True Match foundation. I always seem to reach for it whenever I'm going for the natural but flawless look.
I skipped concealer as I don't really have any spots except for a tiny little one on my chin. I used a little extra foundation on it as well as on my dark circles (which aren't that bad to begin with).
I then set everything in place with my Clinique stay matte sheer-pressed powder which I use all the time. I don't really use any other powder.

I didn't use any contour or bronzer for this look as I wanted to keep it really simple. I did use some blush to put some color back into my face. The one I used is Mocha from MAC. I often forget about this one, but everytime I use it I get reminded of why I love it so much.

At this point I was already late and needed to get my ass out of the door, so instead of filling in my brows I ran the Maybelline Browdrama through them to give them a little definition.

Now there is no way that I'm leaving my house without a little mascara on. Today I opted for Benefit's They're real mascara. I know I said I wouldn't splurge on the full size in an earlier post, but man this is one great mascara. Who knows, maybe I might when I run out of mascara one day (that's not bound to happen any time soon).

When I was preparing for a MAC lipstick collection post, I was reminded of my Impassioned lipstick. It's one of the very first lipstick purchases I made and I haven't really worn it much since then. Since I kept the rest of my make-up so simple I figured a bright lip wouldn't be too much. Especially on this miserable rainy day.

My evening skincare routine

As promised I'm sharing my evening skincare routine today.
It's not very different from my morning skincare routine. For cleanser and toner I use the exact same products, so if you want to know how I use them and what I think about them you can check that out here.

After I cleanse and tone I like to use The Body Shop's Drops of Youth bouncy sleeping mask. I recently discovered this product through FleurDeForce. She talked about it in a skincare video and I was intrigued enough to try it out. If you want to know how to use it or what she thought of it you can watch the video on her YouTube channel. I personally love it and and since I've started using it I noticed that my skin has been getting smoother.

Also once a week I like to use a face mask to really clear out my pores. The one I've been using for quite a while is the Caudalie purifying mask. It's not a thick consistency at all which I like a lot. I usually apply it about 10 minutes before I get in the shower and after I've shampood and conditioned my hair I rinse off the mask and cleanse my face.

The same as with my morning skincare routine I don't like to overload my face with products, so these are all the products I use.

What products do you use for your evening skincare routine? Please let me know in the comments below or find me on twitter @_MakeUpDiary_

My morning skincare routine

Given that my skin has been getting a lot better recently I thought now was as good a time as any to tell you about my current skincare routine.
What's important to keep in mind here is that no 2 skins are the exact same and you should always look for a routine that works for your skin. What works for me might not work for you, so don't be dissapointed too quick. Moving on from what I just said, I do find it helpful to look around what other people use so that I can find new products to try.

Maybelline Better skin foundation

I bought this foundation a few months ago, but I hadn't gotten round to trying it out yet because I got to wrong shade. Yeah, it happens. But now that it's winter and my skin has gotten a lot paler, I've been able to wear it.
You know what. I really hate that! Whenever you buy a foundation at the drugstore you kinda have to guess if the color you're picking out is gonna be the right one. I hate that there is no way to test out the color.

Maybelline Brow drama

I love eyebrows. They might be my favorite part of doing make-up. It's just that they make such a difference. It's true what they say, eyebrows really do frame the face.

Of course everything starts with well groomed eyebrows. I'm not saying you need to start plucking your eyebrows like crazy, but just get rid of the strays and shape them up a little.
If you're thinking about drastically changing the shape of your eyebrows, definitely get it done by a professional. If there's one thing I learned over these past few years it's that you NEVER touch your own eyebrows.

Physicians Formula Happy booster blush

Well what can you really say about a blush? I'm finding it difficult to find the right words to describe this blush, but I love it so much that I feel like I need to do a quick post about it.

Rimmel Fix & perfect pro primer

I always feel like Belgium gets a little forgotten when it comes to beauty and make-up releases. Like, for example, the Rimmel fix & perfect pro primer. It's been years since I first learned about this product and I've been looking for it ever since. I hadn't been lucky until very recently when I came across it in the drugstore.

Benefit advent calender

Let me just come right out and say it..
This was not worth the money!! Seriously, I got so pissed off about this advent calender.

If you followed my blog during blogmas then you must have noticed that I was getting irritated by the products I was getting. I was hoping they would improve, but they didn't. I mean, look at what I got and tell me. Do you thinks these products are worth €100? I certainly don't.

December favorites

So, obviously I suck at doing Blogmas. I'm really sorry you guys. I really wanted to make it work, but with it being the holidays I've been really busy. But it's a new year now and I'm ready to start up my normal routine again.

So let's start of this year with talking about my favorites from last year. I discovered a whole bunch of new products in december and I'm excited to share them with you.

1. Lancôme Dreamtone
If you read my November favorites then you'll know that I absolutely adore the MAC prep+prime moisture infusion serum. Sadly, I ran out of it. Instead of going out and buying a new one, I decided to use up what I had and that's how I discovered the Lancôme dreamtone serum. I bought this a while ago as it promised to reduce dark spots and acne scarring. But once I started using my MAC serum this one kinda dissapeared to the back of my mind. It's a shame really, because it really is a great product. It's really pricey. I think I paid about €76 for it, but I would buy it again. I'm noticing such a difference in my skin.
