Products I've used up & will I repurchase

Shiseido Pureness Deep Cleansing Foam: I absolutely love this cleanser. It's got microbeads in it which I found odd, considering this is not a scrub but you don't even notice them once you've put it on your skin. It does leave the skin feeling a little bit thight, but I personally like that in a cleanser. I'm currently trying out another cleanser, but once I'm done with that one, I will most certainly repurchase this one.

Shiseido Pureness Mattifying Moisturizer: This moisturizer is from the same line as the cleanser, however I don't really care for it. It does mattify your skin, but I don't feel like it keeps me matte during the day. I probably won't repurchase this.

Vichy Normaderm daily scrub: I have actually already repurchased this one and I am currently using it. This is the best scrub I have used so far.

Vichy Capital Soleil 50+ Sunblock: The reason I bought this sunblock is because I had facial surgery a little over a year ago. My surgery was at the beginning of June and I was going on a holiday to Italy in July and the doctor told me I had to keep my face out of the sun for at least the first year, because otherwise the scars in my face wouldn't fade away. So I bought a big floppy hat and this sunblock to put on my scars so that I could still enjoy the sunshine. And it did a wonderful job, because my scars completely faded. I mean, I know where the incisions were and I can't even find them and neither can my sister. So if I ever need a sunblock again, I will definitely repurchase this one.

Dermalogica Clean Start Bedtime for Breakouts: Not much to say here. I won't repurchase this product, because I just don't feel like it does anything beneficial to my skin.

Le Petit Marseillais Rasberry and Peony Bodywash: This bodywash smells amazing. It has a fresh floral, fruity scent to it and I really like it. I might even repurchase in the future.

Bioderma Sébium H2O: I have already repurchased this multiple times. I love it for taking of my make up or if I'm feeling really lazy I use this to cleanse my face.

Bed Head by Tigi Urban Anti+dotes Resurrection Damage Level 3 shampoo: Again I have already repurchased this more then once and I am actually using it right now. It makes my hair feel really clean, soft and light. I know that the only remedy against split ends is to cut your hair, but at least this shampoo makes your hair look and feel extremely healthy. I've also tried out the conditioner in this line and I loved it. My hair felt super soft and it helped control the frizz.

Bed Head by Tigi Some Like It Hot conditioner: I had really high expectations for this conditioner, because I already tried another conditioner from Bed Head and totally loved it. However I was left feeling dissapointed. It didn't really do anything for my hair. It didn't make it feel really soft or nourished. I actually don't think it's worth the money and so I will not be repurchasing this.

John Frieda Brilliant Brunette shampoo: For a drugstore shampoo I think this is a wonderful product. It made my hair soft and you only just need a little bit to wash your entire hair so it lasts a long while. I won't repurchase, because I really like my Bed Head shampoo, but I do recommend this one for anyone looking for a good drugstore shampoo.

Diorskin Forever Flawless Perfection Fusion Wear Foundation: This is the most expensive foundation I've ever bought (€50), but it's so worth the money. It's super light on the skin (seriously, it looks like second skin), it lasts a good few hours (I mean, no foundation lasts ALL DAY) and it's got medium coverage. This is the best high end foundation I've ever tried and I will definitely repurchase.

Urban Decay Primer Potion: Last but certainly not least.. The Urban Decay primer potion. Do I even need to tell you guys about this?? Of course I will repurchase this. I sadly can't get my hands on it in Belgium, but the next time I'm going to Paris I'm gonna take an entire suitcase of this back home with me.

What products have you been using lately?? I would love some suggestions on what to buy next. Please leave a comment below or tweet me @_MakeUpDiary_ and tell me what you would like to see me blog about next.

First Impression - Maxfactor Face Finity 3 in 1 foundation

I decided it was time for me to try a new foundation. The one I picked up is the Maxfactor Face Finity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 foundation.
I've been wanting to try this one out for a while now, but I couldn't find it in the drugstore.
Today I finally came across it and took it home with me..

The foundation claims to be a 3 in 1. So that means primer, concealer and foundation in one product.
Because of this, I didn't apply any primer which I normally would, considering my extremely oily skin. So I really do hope this foundation works the way it claims it does, because otherwise I will be bare-faced within the next two hours.

The picture below shows me without any product on my face to start with and then after applying just the foundation.

I was a bit afraid after putting the foundation on the back of my hand, because the consistency of it seemed to be pretty thick. But then I put it on my face and it just looks so perfect. It leaves a thin layer of foundation on your skin that looks really natural. I found that it did a pretty good job at concealing all of my redness and my blemishes although I did go back in with my concealer to cover up my under-eye area and a little red spot that didn't get completely covered up.
I also like the fact that it's a matte finish, but it still leaves me with a dewy glow. I normally stay away from foundations with a dewy finish, but this one doesn't bother me at all.
It also feels really light on my skin as if I'm not wearing any foundation at all *Bonus points*
To set the foundation in place I used the Covergirl Professional Loose Powder in 105 Translucent fair so it didn't add any extra cover. This is the first time I've used a loose powder and I think I'm gonna love it. It's really light on my skin and doesn't make my skin look cakey or powdery. It does have a strong soapy scent to it that I don't like. Below is a picture of me with the loose powder applied on top of the foundation.

The foundation comes at €14,99 for a 30ml bottle which is a descent price for the quality of this foundation. It also comes with an spf of 20.

I don't know about the staying power of this foundation yet, so I'll update you guys later on that..

How many of you have tried out this foundation already?? Did you like it?? Let me know in the comments below or find me on twitter @_MakeUpDiary_

Christmas is coming..

Hey guys,

I just saw this adorable commercial online and I had to share it with you all.
A lot of you might have already seen it, because it has garnered a lot of attention recently.
It's the John Lewis christmas 2013 advert and it's so amazingly cute. It just brought a smile to my face and a little tear in my eye. I also added in the 'Making Of' video which is definitely worth checking out.

Enjoy..

2. Bioderma Sebium Global - I've been using this product for about a year and it has helped with smoothing my skin's texture
3. Caudalie hydrating toner - My everyday toner. It's not the best one I've used, but it's ok

5. Urban Decay naked 2 palette - My favorite everyday neutral palette
6. Revlon colorstay foundation for oily/combination skin in Sand Beige - This is the best drugstore foundation I've tried so far. It's got medium to full coverage and it really does last all day
7. Mac bronzing powder - I use this to contour my face
8. Mac studio fix powder foundation - I use this foundation as a setting powder. I've got really oily skin and setting my liquid foundation with a powder foundation just helps it last longer during the day. You do need to be carefull not to put too much on, because you will just look cakey if you do
9. Mac blush in Mocha - The perfect fall shade for your cheecks
10. Mac paintpot in Soft Ochre - To keep my eyeshadows from creasing
11. Maybelline babylips in Fresh mint - I love this stuff. It keeps my lips from chapping and it's got this nice cooling, slightly stinging feel to it, which I like

Maybelline Babylips

Packaging: 9/10
Product: 7/10
Price: 9/10

Average: 8.3/10

These past few months I've heared so many people rave about the Maybelline Babylips. Sadly, they hadn't been launched yet in Belgium.
So, a month ago I went grocery shopping and suddenly my eye catches this really fun, bright packaging. HOORAY!!.. The babylips have finally been released.
There's a total of 6 balms, I picked up two colored ones. They're named 'Pink punch' and 'Cherry me'.
Pink punch seems to be a bright pink, but once applied on the lips it sheers out a lot. Cherry me has a warmer tone to it. As the name would suggest, it's more of a cherry red color.
Pigmentation wise, they're not the best. Both of them are quit sheer, they are buildable though.
In terms of the product I was pleasantly surprised. I've been only wearing these lipbalms for the past month and they've kept my lips soft. They haven't chapped at all.
The packaging claims they will last you 8 hours, I would say more about 3. Especially with the tinted lipbalms, you need to reapply them if you want the color to remain on your lips.
Overall I give this product a big thumbs up. I even went back and picked up one of the clear ones in 'Fresh mint'. And it's actually the one I liked the most out of them. I think it works way better than the tinted balms and I like that it had a cool, refreshing feel to it.
Oh, before I forget. These come at €3,99 a piece.

What do you guys think about the Maybelline Babylips??
